Handmade jewellers based in Tunbridge Wells

Here in the rolling hills of West Kent we’re lucky to be surrounded by plenty of natural inspiration and space to create. 

And with women in the crafts industry outnumbering men by a ratio of 5:4 (according to a recent UK government survey), maybe that’s why Tunbridge Wells is such a hot spot for talented and diverse female artisan makers.

So to shine a spotlight on some of these amazing craftswomen, here’s a few of my favourite local, handmade jewellers based in Tunbridge Wells. All are incredibly talented, successful business women and all have their own unique signature style.

Catherine Hills

Deeply inspired by nature, Catherine Hills is an award-winning jeweller with a truly unique style. From Star Wars to seed pods, her pieces are individually designed, unconventional and always distinctive. She has an amazing boutique and studio down on the Pantiles which is definitely worth a visit.

LiV Thurwell 

Just like Narratorium, Liv’s collections are inspired by experiences collected on her global travels and brought back to the UK. From her gorgeous studio Liv translates these moments into handmade pieces; I love her modern take on fine jewellery.  

Catherine de Crouver

Inspired by women and made for women, Catherine’s lightweight handmade pieces exude femininity and fun. I love her bold, colourful and creative style; her pieces add instant impact to an outfit. 

RAW Copenhagen 

Sustainably-driven. Scandi style. Handmade in Tunbridge Wells. What’s not to love about Karina’s ethical jewellery brand Raw Copenhagen? A highlight for me is her freshwater pearl collection; simply gorgeous shimmering pearls in a range of affordable pieces. 

I am super passionate about supporting my local businesses and other jewellers. Some might say that the above jewellers are my competition, but I believe peoples taste in jewellery is so personal, and our signature styles are all so different, that there is room for all of us!
